OUR DIGIPAK

As the message in the inside left panel of our digipak is unclear because Arfa had to readjust the dimensions of the image in order for it to fit into our post, Arfa typed up what the text read below:

It reads: "Someone made a bet with us that we couldn't release an album with the word 'dyke' in the name... we proved them wrong- we won that 26 pence. Since then we've toured the world, played at various festivals and have gained a major following of fans to whom we are eternally grateful! We wanna say a huge thanks to our family, friends and management team for helping us achieve our goal".

MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENT

Above, is our magazine advertisement which shows an image of our group's album. In order for us to grasp a better idea of what what areas we could improve on for this product, I decided to ask my friends via the social networking website Facebook to give me their opnions on our magazine advertisement. Below are the feedback I received:

  • Martin Lambert and Parth Vyas like this.
    • Parth Vyas The advert is great, looks authentic, like the way they are looking away from the camera into the distance, it gives the feeling that we are looking in on them and they have an aim as a band

    • Conor Fuzzy-Bear Travers nice shot, kinda deep. Would be nicer if you could either incorporate more of a contrast with the colours or maybe try a black and white version

OUR DIGIPACK COVER

In order for our group to gain a better understanding of the best image required for the front cover of our digipak, we decided to take numerous photos of the band in a park. We took different pictures as it would offer us plenty of options. We also elected on showing the band in a park, as the park in which we took the photos was situated within close proximity to our school. Furthermore, a park is a fun, relaxing place where young people, in particular, socialise, As our band our young, 'indie' teenagers, we felt that by exposing the band in a park, it would make our digipak look more authentic as a result.
